Black and White with Colour in Grey with Speaking Volumes Books

Join Kevin Land of Speaking Volumes Books for a monthly film series featuring free screenings of lesser-known, high-quality films available through Kanopy with your Grey Highlands Public Library membership.

Kevin will introduce each film, followed by an audience discussion where attendees can share comments and ask questions.

Susan’s Deli will be onsite offering snacks and drinks for purchase.

September’s Film: Breaker Morant │Screening begins at 7pm

Directed by Bruce Beresford, this acclaimed Australian film stars Edward Woodward, Bryan Brown and Jack Thompson. Set during the Second Boer War, it follows three soldiers charged with war crimes. Their story unfolds through courtroom proceedings and flashbacks.

Breaker Morant received four Australian Film Institute Awards in 1980, including Best Film, Best Actor for Jack Thompson, Best Supporting Actor for Bryan Brown and Best Screenplay.
